Album Review: Coldplay – Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends

Viva La Vida

So this is also the 4th album from the british quartet and i have been waiting for several weeks with high anticipation for its release.  The album delievers on every level, we could not have asked for better work. The music is fine tuned and the vocal is out of this world if you will excuse the expression.  All of the songs(only 10) have build up to develop nature which i like and its almost like you dont know what is next in each song. You will probably not hear any of it on the radio but thats ok id rather it stay that way.  Musically the bands playing is at their best and is all original with guitar solos and all, a lost art. The b3 organ on Lost(track 3) is a very nice touch. The itunes version of this album has a piano version of Lost and an acoustic version of Lovers in Japan both very well done. But i believe you only get those if you pre-oredered it but dont quote me on that. I am going to go out on limb and say best album of this year so far and challenge all other commercial bands to put out a product as good as this one, it will be hard to beat this. The best thing about this was they also released a vinyl version of the album. So for those of you who are still able and have a good quality record player buy this album on vinyl listen to it at high volume in a uncommpressed format, the way it was meant to be heard you will not regret it not one bit.  So the single is Violet Hill see this unofficial video for what Blake calls Political theater. I happen to agree.
